The Webinar was held on 2nd July, 2020 in the benign presence of Prof. Subrata Mukhopadhyay, Chairperson, CNA Group, IEEE Delhi Section, Prof. Ajay P. Thakare, Chairman, TPPC, IETE, Gen. (Dr.) Ajay Chandele, Past President, IETE, Mr. R. K. Vyas, President, CSI, Mr. Ajay Goel, Vice President, Altran, Dr. Dharmendra Saini, Principal, BVCOE, N. Delhi and Dr. Shabana Urooj, Jt. Secretary, IEEE Delhi Section. The webinar began with the welcome address of Prof. M. N. Hoda, Director, Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi. He welcomed all the panelists & attendees and discussed the background note of conducting Webinars on weekly basis. These webinars act as networking tools to connect people across the world and help them to adapt to a New Normal life, a new ecosystem caused by Covid-19. He also discussed the five phases of Covid-19 i.e. Denial, Anger, Bargain, Depression and Acceptance and motivated the participants to directly move to Acceptance phase from Bargain phase without going into Depression phase, which is also the primary objective of this webinar. Mr. R. K. Vyas also expressed his words of appreciation towards the efforts made by BVICAM in conducting a continuous series of online FDPs and webinars to promote awareness among young professionals. The Webinar was also addressed by Prof. Ajay P. Thakare.

The webinar was aimed to discuss the myths and facts of 5G along with its various technological needs. Ms. R. Ezhirpavai, Vice President –Innovation, Altran, was the main speaker of the webinar. She began her discussion with the evolution of cellular networks from 2G to 5G and how 5G is offering new ways to connect people and things and allows the telecommunication industry to play an important role in the digital transformation across different industries. She also discussed the value of 5G services and few important use cases of 5G that span across a number of industries, such as 5G for real-time monitoring & remote control of machinery, 5G-enabled robotics, 5G for Virtual Reality in Gaming industry etc. Continuing with her session she also threw light on technological needs for 5G and various myths & facts of 5G.

The session concluded with Question & Answer session in which participants willingly asked their queries. Prof. Subrata Mukhopadhyay thanked Mr. Ajay Goel and Ms. R. Ezhirpavai for their valuable and knowledgeable session. Prof. M .N. Hoda thanked all the participants and panelist for giving their precious time in attending this webinar and making all webinars hosted by BVICAM, a huge success. The webinar attracted a huge participation with 437 participants from across the world.
