Emerging Research Trends in Computer Science and IT

One Week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was organized on "Emerging Trends in Computer Science & IT", by Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi in association with IEEE Computer Society (Delhi Section) & IIPC (AICTE) of BVICAM, IEEE Computer Society (Delhi Section), CSI Delhi Chapter, ISTE Delhi Section, from 23rd July to 28th July, 2018.  The objective of this FDP was to foster the level of technical teaching and research aptitude of the young faculty members, either doing research or planning to undertake research work under the domain of Computer Science and IT, including M. Tech. Scholars.

One week FDP programme was conducted in 20 interesting and knowledge imparting sessions touching emerging research trends in Computer Science and Information Technology. FDP covered various domains with different technical sessions on Fuzzy Logic, Research Methodology, Deep Learning, BlockChain etc. First day of FDP started with Natural Language Processing by Mr. Dheeraj Prakash, Aricent Technologies, Gurgaon, followed by next session on Mendeley - A Reference Management Tool by Dr. Ritika Wason, BVICAM, New Delhi. Dr. Arun Sharma from IGDTUW, discussed about Applications of fuzzy Loagic and Autonomic Computing. Next day of FDP begun with a discussion on very hot and recent topic Blockchain by Mr. Prashant Upadhyay, Aricent Technologies, Gurgaon, followed by a session of Prof. M.N. Hoda, Director, BVICAM on Changing Instructional Paradigm. Further sessions were on Machine Learning for Data Science and Analytics by Dr. Shivani Bali, LBSIM, New Delhi and Research Methodology by Dr. Nimit Gupta, FIIB, New Delhi. Mr. Anil Pathak

Harman Connected Services, Gurgaon conducted a session on IOT, Wearable Computing, Smart Cities, Smart Home and Connected car and Mrs. Mala Gupta Corporate Trainer, eJavaGuru.com took a session on Programming Paradigm and Book Writing. Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey I.T.S., Ghaziabad delivered his lecture on Research Trends in Big Data Analytics whereas a discussion on Next Generation Smart Web was conducted by Dr. Sanjay Kr. Malik USICT, GGSIPU, N. Delhi. Last day of FDP observed sessions on Deep Learning and Hands on Tensorflow by Dr. Mukesh Saraswat JIIT, Noida.

The programme was well attended by over 40 participants from premier Institutes across India. Last day of the FDP witnessed Certificate Distribution Ceremony. Dr. Vishal Jain, Asstt. Professor, BVICAM, New Delhi, co-ordinated the entire FDP program with full zeal and enthusiasm. He expressed his vote of thanks to all the attendees promising to meet again with a bunch of new topics.
