Golden Jubilee Alumni meet 2015 - Shaam.E.Milaap of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University

Great is the art of beginning a new life, but greater is the art of moving forward for new avenues of life while cherishing the past. Keeping this thought in mind, Bharati Vidyapeeth University organized Golden Jubilee Alumni meet 2015 - Shaam.E.Milaap at the Institute premises, successfully on 1st May, 2015 at its campus.

 

BVIMR, BVCOE and BVICAM – all the three campuses of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, New Delhi took the initiative to organise this grand event. The Grand Meet was organized in the college ground with a huge Pandaul which had seating capacity of 1200 people. The gathering included alumni of all colleges of Bharati Vidyapeeth also the staff along with their families of Bhartiya Vidyapeeth Institute Of Management and Research, Bhartiya Vidyapeeth College of Engineering and Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Computers Application and Management.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Vishwajeet  Kadam, Honourable Secretary, Bharati Vidyapeeth and hosted by Mr. Rajesh Setia, Vice President “United Brethren”- The Alumni Association of BVIMR. The stage was shared by Dr. Vikas Nath, Director-BVIMR, New Delhi, Mr. C.B Sawant – Regional Director, Prof. M. N. Hoda, Director – BVICAM, Dr. Dharemendra Saini, Prinicipal -BVCOE and Dr. Sachin S. Vernekar, Dean – FMS BVDU & Director IMED, Pune.

 

Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam rightly said that alumni members have played a very significant role in corporate lectures, placement and building industry institute interface. They in fact have been the brand ambassadors of the institution. They have always served as a constant pro-active linkage between the industry and outside world. The meet proved to be a platform for all alumni members of BVIMR, BVICAM & BVCOE to come, share and enjoy the sweet accomplishments and memories together.

The event began by an audio-video based on the flashback journey, it was based on the time travelled from the Alumni meet conducted way back in 1997 to the most recent one in 2014. Mr Rajesh Setia also shared that the first alumni meet organised in 1997 for MBA students just had a gathering of 35-40 alumni. The one organised in 2014 the number of alumni who attended Milap, the annual alumni meet increased to 650.

During the event, Mr. Rajesh Setia, VP (United Brethren) shared that BVIMR is the trend maker to conduct International Alumni Meets with the beginning of the Australian, U.S.A., the U.K. Chapter and lately  Patna-Ranchi Chapter and Mumbai-Pune Chapter.

Mr. Pankaj Bansal - Founder & CEO of People HR PVT. LTD was  awarded the Star Alumni Award by Dr. Vikas Nath for his commendable achivements. Dr. Vikas Nath cordially welcomed all the Alumni students from the various batches. He congratulated that Bharati Vidyapeeth University has been reaccredited with “A” Grade by NAAC. BVIMR has been ranked in Top B-Schools in India for its constant endeavour to achieve professional excellence. He highlighted the achievements and developments that BVIMR has made through in its journey till date and also laid special emphasis on the recent developments in order to keep the old students linked and updated.

 

The key highlight of the musical night was Mr. Amrish Mishra, the singer with the gift of a melodious and heavenly voice lightened up the environment with the popular ghazal by Late Mr. Jagjit Singh- Hoshwalon Ko Khabar Kya, his music was enjoyed by one and all, nobody could stop tapping their feet and murmuring the music under their voices, as we say music is the source of words to unheard and unspoken thoughts, this bond tends to bring people close.

The connection could have been felt in the air, this event cannot be said to have come to an end with the musical night but it gave birth to new relationships and a refreshment to the old ones, reasons to connect to old books left somewhere down the memory lane, a chance to live the same life left behind, to give another laugh to the old pranks, to make the bonds more stronger. The event saw a gathering of more than 1100 alumni belonging to Management, Computer Science, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering.
