Education day 2016

he Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi in association with CSI Delhi Chapter celebrated National Education Day on 8th Oct 2016 in order to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first education minister and former President of India, Shri. Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad as an extravagant symposium for undergraduates and post graduate students to flourish their technical dexterity along with aggrandizing their communication skills.

The event was a sumptuous success by-standing participation from different colleges like DIAS, JIMS, VIPS, DTU, DU, LBS, USIT, BVIMR, BVCOE, Chitkara University and many others. Dowering to the awe-inspiring success of the event were some newfangled events that were included this year. The students enthusiastically participated in I.T. Quiz, Programming Competition, Spinning Web- The Website Designing competition,  Brainstroming Maze, Debate Competition, Communicating Coders- The Coding Decoding quest, Paint-O-Mania- The T-Shirt Painting, Photo Fun, Pictionary, Face Painting competition and other technical and non-technical events.

Each event was impelled at a separate time for their preliminary rounds, upon gaping which participants proceeded to the final level. The Debate competition was conducted on the much thoughtful altercation- “Is owning iPhone just a status symbol”, in which first position was bagged by Ms. Chahat and Ms. Sanyukta. The participants were appreciated for their incredible efforts and the winners were awarded with certificate and cash rewards. By the meanwhile other events too had reached their culmination stage and final results were affirmed.

The winners of Brainstorming were Mr. Jatin and Mr. Hardik. Mr. Kanav Rampal and Mr. Aditya Chadha won the IT Quiz. The winners of Antakshri were Mr. Ritanshu Tyagi and Ms. Monika. Poster making was won by Mr. Deepanshu and Face Painting prizes were won by Ms. Isha Sagar and Ms. Aparna Soni. Winners of each event were decreed with cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.

The event was opulent success by the ardent and persistent efforts of the 2nd as well as 1st year’s enthrallingly full of energy students under the potent guidance of the final year batch and a team of enlivening teachers, guiding them at each step and toiling it out with them for the gala success of the event.

BVICAM played a perfect host to organise education day 2016 flawlessly and hence it proved to be an exhilarating experience for all those who attended the various events.  It was the amalgamate effort of the entire BVICAM family under the guidance of our enlivening torchlight Prof M. N. Hoda that a commodious event like this proved to be a convivial ascendancy in the history of BVICAM.
