Education Day 2018

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi and ISTE's Delhi Section Student's Convention celebrated National Education Day on 13th Oct 2018, Saturday in order to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first education minister and former President, Shri. Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. Education Day is a great event for undergraduates and postgraduate students where they showcase their technical adroitness along with applauding communication skills.

The event was a splendid success by standing participation from different colleges like Rukmani Devi Institute of Advanced Studies,  JIMS, MSIT,  Maharaja Agrasen College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, VIPS, IGDTU, Dayal Singh College, Shyam Lal College, Rajdhani College, DUCS, LBS, USIT, BVIMR, BVCOE, Jamia Milia Islamia, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Institute, Birla Institute of Technology, Shivaji College, Chhotu Ram Rural Institute Of Technology, PGDAV and many others. Dowering to the awe-inspiring success of the event were some newfangled events that were included this year. The students enthusiastically participated in Debate, Pictionary, IT Quiz, Brainstroming, Programming, Web Development, Poster Making, Fandom Quiz, Comminication Coders.

Each event was impelled at a separate time for their preliminary rounds, upon gaping which participants proceeded to the final level. The Debate competition was conducted on the much thoughtful altercation- “Buy American Hire American: Technological Boon or Bane?”, in which the first position was bagged by Ms Navya Singh and Mehak from VIPS. The participants were appreciated for their incredible efforts and the winners were awarded certificates and cash rewards. Meanwhile, other events too had reached their culmination stage and results were affirmed.

The winners of Debate were Ms Navya Singh secured first position from VIPS, Mr Abhishek Shrivastava was elected as Best Speaker from Shyam Lal College and Ms Nandita secured second position from Rajdhani College. The winners of IT Quiz were Paridhi Gupta and Shivani Bakshi bagged first Position from IGDTU whereas Divesh Bhagat and Aditya Aggrawal bagged second position from DUCS. Winners of Web Development were Visha Gupta(1st Position) from vIPS, Shivam Sharma(2nd Position) from MSIT. Winners of Programming were Prachi Sharma and Reema(1st Position)from JIMS and Shreya and Vikas Kumar(2nd Position) from Rajdhani College. Winners of Communication Coders were Tanshi Nayak and Jatin Dehmiwal(1st position) and Harshit Kesar and Vipul Kumar(2nd position). Winners of each event were decreed with cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.

The event was a splendid success by the persistent efforts of the 2nd as well as 1st year’s students under the guidance of the final year batch and a team of enlivening teachers, guiding them at each step. BVICAM played a perfect host to organise Education day 2018 flawlessly and hence it proved to be an exhilarating experience for all those who attended the various events.
