Air pollution mess (enhanced in winters) in Delhi and NCR is well known – due to the continued practice of stubble burning on over 6 million acres of farms in the regions around Delhi and NCR, impacting public health, farm health and our environment. The main barrier to India's stubble burning issue is not the lack of alternatives available but rather understanding the problem at the root level and choosing, mobilizing and implementing solutions that fit the purpose. In 2021, nurture.farm decided to deal with the issue of stubble burning by successfully deploying a bio-decomposer-based spraying solution on the farms, at a significant scale of over 4,00,000 acres, and through a deep science and tech based approach.
