Computer Society of India (CSI) is celebrating its 50 years of service - an occasion to reciprocate the gratification and respect to the nation for all the support and encouragement. CSI organized a social activity – The Golden Tech-Bridge – at more than 50 different locations across the nation on 09th August, 2014. Aimed at digital inclusion, this event was a convergence of the technologically deprived segments of society and the professionals, to create an ambience of sharing to bring technology and its benefits to one and all. CSI selected Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi to conduct Computer Training Program “CSI Golden-Tech Bridge Programme” on 09th August, 2014 at A-4, Paschim Vihar, Rohtak Road, New Delhi-110063 for Delhi region. The event started with an exhilarating inauguration made worth by the kind presence of Prof. R. K. Vyas, RVP, Region-I, Computer Society of India, welcomed by Prof. M. N. Hoda, Director BVICAM. Also present on the dais was Mr. S. D. Sharma, Chairman, CSI Delhi Chapter and Mr. V. K. Gupta, Secretary, CSI Delhi Chapter and Mr. Rajeev Kumar Sethi, CSI Delhi Chapter who talked about the need for computers as a whole. The workshop was aimed at sharing computer literacy among those who are not yet exposed to computers including working professionals, housewives, economically disadvantaged, etc. The main contents of the program were Introduction to fundamentals of Computer, MS-Office and the use of Internet. The contents were delivered by Mr. Vishal Jain, Assistant Professor, BVICAM, New Delhi and Mrs. Vaishali Joshi, Assistant Professor, BVICAM, New Delhi in a well organized way. The candidates were given a chance to get practical exposure on MS Office and other utility programs in the Computer Labs after the lunch. The program benefitted more than 110 participants from all over the Delhi.
