Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management, New Delhi organized an invited talk on Crowd Management in Kumbh & Hajj, by Prof. Yameen, on 17th Jan 2015, the Saturday.  The main concern of his talk was the use and application of Information Technology in Crowd management at religious events like Kumbh and Hajj. He explored various management issues which need to be addressed such as management of pilgrims carrying HIV, hepatitis and other bacterial or viral diseases, local transportation – scheduling and allocation, disaster management etc. Further he discussed the check point management for pilgrims using RFID (Radio Frequency Identity Detection) – which is a hair-thin device and can be used anywhere on the human body to locate any person. He also talked about the use of sensor and mobile technology at such events.

Prof. MN Hoda, Director, BVCIAM concluded the knowledgeable session by the words of his wisdom. Mr. Anupam Baliyan, Associate Professor, BVICAM coordinated the entire session and ended it with vote of thanks. All the faculty members and students of BVICAM attended the talk.
